Jack Whitten
Jack Whitten earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan. There, he wrote and edited sports articles for The Michigan Daily, the University’s student newspaper. He also interned for newspapers in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Jack became interested in FIRE when he read The Coddling of the American Mind in college, and his passion for writing attracted him to FIRE’s Communications team. In his free time, Jack keeps up with the New York Mets, practices his violin and electric bass, and patronizes record stores.
