Leslie Corbly
Leslie is an attorney and civil rights advocate who comes to FIRE from Utah’s Libertas Institute where she focused on privacy policy. She has also worked as an attorney in private practice in Oklahoma, where she is licensed to practice law. As a passionate defender of classical liberalism, Leslie has always loved civil liberties, particularly the right to think, speak, and express human thought freely. She seeks to cultivate an interdisciplinary understanding of the predicates on which liberty rests. Leslie is an alumnae of the Mercatus Center’s Bastiat Fellowship, and the American Institute for Economic Research’s Visiting Fellowship programs. She is a member of the Federalist Society and is a Young Voices Contributor. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Journalism and a minor in Constitutional Studies, and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Outside of the office she can be found lifting weights at CrossFit, writing poetry/essays defending classical thought, reading, playing the piano, and hiking the beautiful mountains of Utah’s Wasatch Front.
