Within hours of an administrator criticizing the student newspaper The Collegian, Ashland dismissed its adviser, citing concerns that his “approach” to journalism was “problematic for Ashland.”
Ashland University’s student newspaper was stripped of its beloved adviser, and just days later, Ashland demanded that newspaper begin submitting stories to campus officials for review before publication.
Last Friday, the Marion County Police Department, led by Chief Gideon Cody, raided the office of the Marion County Record seizing computers, servers, and the cellphones of editors and reporters.
