Open Discourse Coalition is a non-partisan organization formed by concerned alumni dedicated to preserving traditional liberal values at Bucknell University. On campus, Open Discourse Coalition hosts lecture series and stand alone speakers who present competing viewpoints from nuanced intellectual perspectives.

Tired of Columbia University’s consistent failure to live up to its free speech promises, the Columbia Free Speech Alliance organized to hold the university accountable for its illiberal actions. Together they hope to reform both the problematic speech policies and culture at Columbia.

The Cornell Free Speech Alliance formed, because the current activities on campus violate the wishes of founder Ezra Cornell who valued free expression, viewpoint diversity, and academic freedom. They insist the Cornell administration adopt the Chicago Principles and other measures as a way to prioritize the principles valued by their founder.

Davidsonians for Freedom of Thought & Discourse is a concerned group of alumni who argue that Davidson College should promote free inquiry and not ideological indoctrination. They publish the Davidson Freedom Roundup where they share writings relevant to free speech and expression on college campuses.

Friends for Free Speech & Intellectual Diversity at Duke is concerned about increasing levels of self-censorship, threats to free speech, and a general lack of viewpoint diversity across the nation’s college campuses. Friends for Duke exists to help Duke become a leader among its peers in addressing these challenges.

Furman University alumni organized to encourage the university to reform its policies that restrict student expression. They will continue to serve a watchdog role, praising the university when it protects expression and asking for improvement when it fails.

Grove City Alumni for Freedom upholds the college’s status as a Christian institution and rejects any effort to claim that certain ideas should be unwelcome or undiscussed because of these beliefs. Its goal is to promote and preserve Grove City College as a rigorous educational institution committed to robust and open dialogue.

The MIT Free Speech Alliance began after the cancellation of a lecture by geophysicist Dorian Abbot exposed an institutional climate hostile to free expression. MFSA now protects and promotes viewpoint diversity, freedom of expression, and academic freedom at MIT.

They conclude that the broad nature of the college’s diversity, equity, and inclusion measures have potentially harmful effects on freedom of expression that are not being taken into complete consideration.

Fight for Yale’s Future opposes the censorship occurring on Yale’s campus and worries about the decline in alumni faith in the institution. They suggest that the university commit to upholding freedom of expression standards as listed in the Chicago Statement and engage alumni more actively as defenders against mission drift.
